Fire training at Hiroshima Hana hostel

Hi there!
It's been very hot and humid in Hiroshima. Summer has come...atsui atsui...

We have conducted the fire training last week.　the hostel industry is be required to do it at least  twice a year. and we should practice using escape route to be able to leave quickly,and It is also important to learn about things like first aid for those who have been injured in disasters, how to use fire extinguishers, and more..

We try to keep　our hostel more safe and conformable !!

The new guestbook

We mad the new guest book!

But this time, we made it little differently, the theme is "Let's share Kyoto information with future guest"!! 

Tagging the particular name of district help you to find the specific information of those district.

As the receptionist, we sometime don't know what to recommend for restaurant or experiences  and what the guest expect to see or to try.Because there is little "gap" between us and visitors:P  We see our guests know better about the sightseeing spot for tourist. I was always wondering if  guest can pass the information to other guest might makes their trip better!!



We hope this note works for shearing Kyoto information that the tourist may think what are nice in Kyoto.

SUMIKO ＆ SEIYA

Hello everyone! It is a rainy season in Japan! How are you surviving? I would like to introduce our fantastic volunteer staff who help to hold a dinner party at Kyoto Hana Hostel every week! Now, let me introduce our charming lovely SUMIKO!! SUMIKO looks good with a black T-shirts! The girl who wears dark green is our night duty staff, TSUBASA!! She also helps a party! Temakizushi was the dinner on that day~! They look delightful! Here is a Takoyaki party night! Pretty girls light up the night! Here is our IKEMEN (good looking guy in Japaneses slang)!! SEIYA~!!!! Trip to Toronto

I had a trip to Toronto. 

My passport expired in 2011,  so I renewed my passport for this trip. 

It is my first time to get 10-year valid passport. 

I flew to Narita from Hiroshima airport by Ibex airlines NH3114.

Before I take plane, I had some fresh oysters:)

Hiroshima has 60% share of all oyster farming in Japan.

Then I flew to Toronto by AC002.

Flight was pleasant and landing was smooth.

One thing I surprised was they served cup noodle in the middle of the flight as snack.

I was full.

and met my girlfriend at Pearson airport.  

It was since last October. and we had some cups of coffee at Tim Hortons!

I liked their iced coffee:)

I stayed in Canada for 11 days and we walked around downtown Toronto and, took a day trip to Niagara fall. 

In Niagara, the fall raised a spray of water far and wide.

Illumination at night was fascinating.  

Toronto city view was beautiful.

and loved chicken wing with Canadian beer :)

 It was a memorable trip. I wish to visit Toronto again in Autumn.

Hi from Hiroshima, its Kana here. Japan is middle of rain season now.been raining raining raining, now typhoon is approaching..GREAT!

Let me introduce few restaurants around Hiroshima Hana Hostel.
I guess I have already introduced some already, such as

All these restaurant is walking distance from Hana Hostel. About 5-10minutes walk. They are reasonable and..YUM.

Here are new places I have just discovered these days.

 

Marubiya

(Lunch set menu only 600 yen!)

Its located in the traditional market which is only few minutes walk from Hana.

Hotel granvia Hiroshima

(Lunch buffet 1600 yen)

Its located on the North exit of Hiroshima station. I can not afford to stay there but for lunch buffet!
