SAKURA Journal

Hello!
Finally the Spring has come to Hiroshima!!

Every year I go to Yamaguchi prefecture to see the
Sakura in Kintai-kyo.

It wasn't fully bloomed yet but it was still beautiful.

Oh, and look what I found!!

Do you see something?
Maybe this way would be easier.

I found a heart on his body :)

Anyways, the Sakuras are blooming
all over Hiroshima.
Kintai-kyo is not actually in Hiroshima but it's
only about 45min by JR from Hiroshima sta.
and another 15min by Bus from JR Iwakuni sta.
It's very nice for a day trip!

It DID exist

Sometimes the photos on the websites and magazines etc...
are taken sooo beautifully.
But actually, it's not exactly the same
when you see a real one.

This time I was very curious about this one
pond. The water is so clear and looks like an
emerald green sea.

Will it exist in the mountain??

Actually, it did...

It WAS like an emerald green sea.

This pond is called "Befu-bentensui".
It is known for a water of longevity.
The water comes out 186liters per second.

You can see this beautiful pond because of the
karst landform in Yamaguchi prefecture.

It is easy to get to Yamaguchi prefecture from
Hiroshima. But I'm sure there are
more and more beautiful places in Hiroshima
which I still don't know.

I'll still keep on exploring more beautiful places
in Hiroshima.

SUMMER

Is everyone enjoying the SUMMER??
I am:)

Went to the beach

at Tsunoshima Island (Yamaguchi Prefecture)

BBQ

at my house

Fireworks festival

Miyajima Island

Although I was born in summer, I don't like
summer that much.
But, I love all the great events which you can
only enjoy in the summer.

Hot days will go on but
please be careful with the heat stroke
and please enjoy the rest of the summer!

Kinntaikyou Bridge in Yamaguchi Pref.

A cicada loved me.
Fear not, stay as you are.
A ventriloquist is singing;
On the process to furbish up the voice

Lost and befuddled by your appearance
Not merely beautiful
But also productive and I was intrigued
In your eyes I saw the light

Once I was a painter
Who could walk into the paintings
To converse with what I called ageless truth
The sounds, "the music must never offend the ear"

*Note* The " " part is quoted by W. A. Mozart

One of my favorite place in Yamaguchi

There's a place called "SANZOKU" in Yamaguchi prefecture, our neighborhood.
It's a Japanese restaurant, but not a normal restaurant.
Check out this website:

http://www.irori-sanzoku.co.jp/

It's only in Japanese but I'm sure you can understand why I love this place by
seeing these pictures =)

I go there very often. Maybe once or twice every three months!
Sanzoku-Yaki and Sanzoku-Musubi are the most popular menus here.

Sanzoku-Yaki is a chicken leg with a special sauce. I love this sauce as much as
Okonomiyaki sauce!

Sanzoku-Musubi is a huge Rice ball with 4 kinds of fillings.

Also, they change the decorations of the buildings and around the buildings seasonally.
This time, it was Christmas.

If you have a car, you should deffinately go here!!
