On the 14th of March 2012, Kyoto Aquarium opened!!
Kyoto Aquarium aspires to be a comprehensive “edutainment*-oriented aquarium” where children living in Kyoto can learn about and interact with water resources and aquatic life. (*Edutainment is a combination of “education” and “entertainment.”)
Probably the main draw is the Dolphin Stadium with 180-degree panoramic views and also you can see the Japanese giant salamanders (natural treasure of Japan) in the Kyoto River Zone.
Operating Hour: 9:00 - 17:00
Admission Fee: Adult 2,000 yen, High School Student 1,500 yen, Junior High School & Elementary School Student 1,000 yen, Child (3 and over) 600 yen
